Advanced Placement Environmental Science is an interdisciplinary college equivalent lab science course. A.P.E.S. is a comprehensive course in which students examine the environment and the natural processes at work in it, with special emphasis on the impact of human-kind, and the ramifications and possible solutions to these impacts. As a discipline, Environmental Science is an inch deep and miles wide, requiring students to aquire a breadth of knowledge and be able to successfully apply skills learned in earlier courses such as physical science, biology, and chemistry to understanding the key concepts taught in this course.

Accelerated Physical Science is the science component of the Bonita High School interdisciplinary CORE program. Accelerated Physical Science is a one year course, and fulfills one year of the two year graduation requirement for science. While introducing students to the fundamental concepts of the physical sciences, this course also provides a solid foundation in critical thinking and problem-solving skills, preparing students to challenge and succeed in upper-division science courses. Accelerated CORE Physical Science Students frequently become the Advanced Placement Science Students of Bonita High School's Future, and beyond, the students of the University of CA, the California State Universities, and some of the best Private Universities in both CA and the Nation.
