Dear Parents,
Welcome to our class website! We are so excited to have this site as a convenient avenue to keep you informed of what we're doing in Kindergarten!
As kindergarteners, we are very busy in our classroom. Each day, we are learning all about the alphabet and the sounds each letter makes. We are learning to read high-frequency words and how to use them in our writing. We are learning to count, sort, and compare objects. We are joining groups to create addition sentences, and we are learning to create various patterns as well. We are also learning how to be friends with one another and to work as a "crew". By clicking on the links to the right of this page, you will learn more about our daily routine, class rules, reward system, monthly calendar, and lots more!
It is such a privilege to be your child's teacher this year! I am enjoying working with you to make Kindergarten at Moore Elementary School a wonderful, positive experience! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.

Classroom Reward System
Mrs. Gable
A variety of rewards are used to manage behavior and work habits in my classroom. They consist of the following:
Verbal Praise
Nonverbal Gestures
Class Cheers
Sticker Charts
Marble Jar
Moore Money
Positive Office Visits
Completing “The Moore Way Puzzle”
Special Privileges (walking ahead as an “early bird” to large group, leading calendar, extra center time, etc.)
My students use Moore Money to purchase items from our class prize box (misc. items such as pencils, erasers, small toys, use of bubbles or sidewalk chalk at recess, lunch with a friend, “stinky feet”. Each time our marble jar is filled, I reward the class with a special treat or privilege (such as extra recess or center time).
