Hello! I am Karen Kagel and I am so happy to be working with your child this year! This year I am again very fortunate to have Mrs. Nona Gonse as my assistant.
I am originally from Long Island, New York. I have been teaching for 17 years. I received my Undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Oneonta, and my Masters degree in Early Childhood Development from SUNY Stony Brook. I have taught 1st grade and third grade but, most of my years teaching have been at the Kindergarten level.
My husband and I have been married for 16 years and we have three terrific sons ages 13, 11 and 6. Strawbridge has not only been a wonderful place to teach but, it has been my own children's elementary school! When I am not at school I am ususally on a football or baseball field watching one of my children!

St. Patrick's Day Party!

We will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day in our classroom on March 17th! We are expecting a special visit from a little leprechaun that day! Will he leave us all gold? We can't wait to see! :)...
