As you may know, the cost of the ClassJump server is paid for primarily by the fellow who runs this site, Robert Zimmerman. That's me, the fellow who is writing this note.
The Facts: The cost of the ClassJump server (that I hope you love and count on) for the month of February, 2011 was $719.25. The cost of the server for March was $899.25.
Why did it cost so much? Because this is a very popular place. The standard price per month that goes out to support ClassJump is $458.00 monthly. In February and March, the server exceeded it's hosting limits and additional charges were added, which had to be paid. The price of popularity is high!
Imagine if each teacher who uses ClassJump would make a tax-deductible contribution of $1.00. As this is being written, there are 16,430 teachers here (that number is likely to go up before I finish writing this). One dollar from each teacher. $16,430. That would allow for $1,369.00 a month over the next year. If the cost of the server stays the same, that would even leave a bit left over so that I could afford to make some of the substantial changes to the program that I have been dreaming of for everyone.
Can I keep sending almost a thousand dollars every month to pay for the server that supports ClassJump? Not for long. How have a been able to do this at all? By not taking vacations, clipping coupons and hoping for help.
Last year, I incorated ClassJump, and it is now ClassJump, Inc. a fully chartered 501 3c non-profit. Any donations ClassJump might receive are 100% tax deductible.
As of today, ClassJump has received $2,379.00 in contributions over the past year, which has all gone straight back in to paying for the server. At the current rate, that pays for just over two months.
PLEASE CONSIDER HELPING. What is being offered here is so important to me, and I hope that you feel the same. If this is worth $1.00 to you, then I promise to put your dollar straight back into keeping ClassJump here for everyone involved.
I love classjump and would be happy to donate, even more than $1. So, just send me the link to the above address. I just clicked the link attached to the message and it did not work.

God bless you Robert Zimmerman! How do I donate my dollar? Where do I click or text d-o-l-l-a-r to?

Thanks Narcia and Kim! The link at the top of this page will take you to the contribution page. It Says "Help us Keep Helping You" and is the color green, just to the right of the word ClassJump. This link will also work just as well.

This has been such a great site that I and my peers have used this school year. Parents love it. I'm more than happy to donate to help support the site. It makes communication to parents of 7th and 8th grade students so easy! THANK YOU!

thx so much classjump...now i can see what is going on in class and what is for homework, but I don't think classjump is worth $1.00. It should be more like $5.00!

It is such a gift to have a class webpage that is user-friendly and does not have advertising. I'm not sure how Mr. Zimmerman is connected to education or why he started this site, but my class and I are truly grateful. A mother of one of my autistic students said this site is the only way she was able to see what he was doing in class because he was unable to articulate it to her. Thank-you.

I love your system. Because it is to help the student and the parents and I wouldn't mind donated but our school Hertiage High School in Maryville, TN. will not use it the right way.

I think that at one point our school was sending in a donation each month for using your site. I will find out if we are still doing that and send in my donation as well.

Classjump is fantastic and worth a contribution. Many sites that offer these services are costly for teachers and students. I appreciate all the hard work Mr. Zimmerman has put into the site. My husband and I both teach high school in Georgia and our students have enjoyed a new level of connectedness and accessibility, thanks to Classjump. Keep up the good work!

I absolutely think that classjump.com is worth a dollar! It is the least we can give to keep this excellent website going! It is the best one I have come across in my ten years of teaching. Extremely user friendly to students, parents and teachers. Before classjump I was using wiki pages which do not even come close to this website. I will most definitely contribute and I think we all should!
