This program has been developed in order to get students involved in a club that will keep them out of trouble and off the streets. The program was founded on October 1, 2008 with the assistance of the Harlem Chapter of Community Connections and the 21st Century Program. We hope that we can not only build a race car but that we can build strong and meaningful foundations that will help students when entering the workforce.

Harlem High School Automotive is dedicated to preparing the future work force. We have had numerous students go directly into local shops. We recommend the student continue their education through on the job training and/or post-secondary education. We specialize in four basic areas of the automobile but we are not limited by them. Our core areas include Brakes, Steering/Suspension, Electrical/Electronic Systems and Engine Performance. We are proud to serve individuals from the community. The HHS Transportation-VICA club is nationally affliated with Skills-USA. The students compete in Ford-AAA and Skills-USA competitions. These competitions include contests in Automotive Troubleshooting, Power Equipment Technology, Automotive Brakes and Automotive Electrical/Electronic Systems. We have won titles at the regional and state levels. The club is dedicated to preparing students for the competitive work place. It is our goal to keep students involved to ensure their success.
