The purpose of AP Psychology is to introduce students to the systematic and scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human beings and other animals. Students are exposed to the psychological facts, principles, and phenomena associated with each of the major subfields within psychology
Psychology
Course Description:
This course focuses on individual behavior and why an individual thinks, feels, and reacts to certain stimuli. Major emphases will be placed on research methods, stages in childhood and adolescence, how the brain works, altered states of consciousness, intelligence, memory and psychological disorders.
Sophomore U.S. History A/B
Course Description: US History 10A: From the discovery of the New World, to the Pilgrims, through the Revolution and the War of 1812, this course charts early American history. US History 10B: This course is the second semester of US History. This course covers the nation's political and economic expansion, reform movements, sectional divisions, industrial growth, the Civil War and Reconstruction.
