THE WORLD OF MATH
ALL STUDENTS NEED TO BE REPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:
1. Ask questions when confused on new material. This is really a key. 2. Understand "why" they missed a homework problem. This will result in mastering of the concepts and having a successful grade in the class. 3. Show work is a must ! I grade on "how you got the answer" as well as " the right answer". Labelling is also important. 4. Expect to have a quiz in every math class and take a test every two weeks. HOMEWORK FOR THE WEEK IS SHOWN FOR EACH LISTED CLASS BELOW: FOR ALL MATH STUDENTS: A. When quizzes are done the student is allowed to open their textbook or use their math journal notes to answer the porblems. They have as much time as needed. This means they finish the quiz "on their honor" at home. B. For any test taken that is a Saxon Test, the students can "retest". This means they must go over the ones they miss with me. When they retest, the two scores are averaged. The students must come to me and schedule going over the graded test and schedule when they will take the retest. C. Homework is assigned (over 90% of the time) each day they have math class.
