Well it is finally here, the last week of school. I know we all look forward to it for different reasons, but it is hard for me to believe that the year is over. We have one more busy and fun week planned as we finish up with our ocean friends. The ocean picture that is out in the hallway is beautiful. It will be hard to take down. I have so enjoyed showing off all of the beautiful art your children have made throughout the last few months. We get lots of comments from the older students and staff. They all like to keep up with what preschool is doing.
We’ll also complete our “Letter of the Week” lesson with the letters “X”, “Y” and “Z” I would love to have one last “Show and Tell” on Friday, so please try if you can to rummage up something that starts with one of our letters!
Here is a brief schedule of the week:
Monday: Normal Day (Arrival and Departure)
Tuesday: Normal Day (Arrival and Departure)
Wednesday: Normal Day (Arrival and Departure) End of year Pizza party for both classes.
Thursday: Adjusted Dismissal
AM Class 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
PM Class 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Friday: Adjusted Dismissal
The last day of the school year
AM Class 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
PM Class 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
It has truly been an honor and a privilege to have been your child’s teacher this year. I have seen remarkable progress, been brought to tears on several occasions and have learned how to be a better, more effective teacher by having your child in my class. Please work with your child over the summer on those IEP objectives that were mentioned in the final Progress Report. Have fun with your child and please continue read to them. We have worked so hard on the emergent literacy skills and I am very pleased to see many of the children choosing to look at books in unstructured time during the class day.
I look forward to seeing those children who will be returning in the fall and wish those children who are not returning the best of luck in the next school year.
Have a safe and fun summer. Please don’t forget us as we will never forget you.
