Students check out books for one week at a time. On the back of each library book there is a sticker alerting you to when the book needs to be returned! While we do not charge overdue fines at the elementary level, your child will not be allowed to check out any new books as long as he/she has an overdue book.
Overdue notices are printed each Monday and go home in the Dolphin folders on Tuesday. If your child brings a note home, please send the book back to school the following day. If you believe that you received a notice in error, please contact me or Ms. Garland. The BEST way to get ahold of us is through email. You can contact me at Terri.Troia@vbschools.com or Ms. Garland at Alexis.Garland@vbschools.com.
Kindergarteners will begin checking out books in October and they are allowed one book at a time. Please send these books back to school one day ahead of their library day.
Second through Fifth graders check out two books at a time. (First grade will start off the year at just one book, but we will move them up to two as we see them get comfortable with their new routines and responsibilites!)
