Child and Lifespan development prepares students to understand physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth and development throughout the lifespan. Course content includes developmental theories, prenatal development, as well as ages and stages throughout life.

Family and Consumer Science is a comprehensive introductory class in our department. It is designated for 9th and 10th grade students. FCS is designed to assist students in developing core knowledge and skills needed for successful life planning and management. Content includes human development, family and parenting education, resource management, housing and living environments, nutrition and foods, textiles and apparel; leadership development and career preparation. A unique focus is on the management of families, work and their interrelationships.

Interoir Design is a specialized course focusing on the interior of living environments. The course includes instruction in the fundamentals of interior design; the application of skills, knowledge and design principles to the living environment; interior design occupations and careers, universal and "green" design; and professional and marketing skills.
