This website is devoted to Ms. Young's Art History classes. Art History was one of my majors in college and I feel that it is one of the most interesting ways of learning about other cultures and civiliaztions.
Both classes assume that students are interested in learning and will take ownership for their education.

This is an Independent Study seminar. You must have completed the Introduction to Art History course to take this class. In this class we will focus more heavily on the Ancient World (prehistoric, Mesopotamia, Byzantium, etc.) , non-western art (sub-Sahara Africa, Asia, Native art of the Americas and Pacific Islands) and Modern Art from around the world.

This class is an introduction to the field of Art History. We will study the art and architecture of Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, Medieval Europe, Renaissance, Japan and China, Mesoamerica, the Baroque and Impresionism. We will take at least one field trip to a local museum to experience art first hand.
