Hello, my name is Mrs. Donaldson and I am a Teacher/Education Specialist/Case Manager here at Horace Mann Middle School. I have been teaching at Mann for 4 years and have made my main focus improving each of my student's academic and behavioral goals.
This year I will be in charge of helping students improve their mathematic skills in our new Math Lab. The Math Lab is designed to support students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Each student will be reassessed every six weeks in hopes of exhibiting substantial improvements in mathematics at or above their grade level.
In the Math Lab, our main focus is to work with students who have an Individualized Education Program (IEP), the IEP is designed to help students develop their academic and behavioral abilities.
The Math Lab will also be available to students without IEP's based on several criteria.
In the Math Lab, students will be provided with strategies and skills that will enhance their learning abilities in Basic Math, Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1.
Parents, I welcome you to visit our Math Academy daily, during class periods 2 - 6.
