English 11
Historically, people came to America in search of the American Dream. That inherent idea of a better way of life motivated early Americans to settle the New World and document the struggle to survive. English 11 is a study that concentrates on American literature and composition (writing). Vocabulary studies will also occur throughout the year.

Honors English 9
Students in honors courses will be expected to work independently and collectively and to show evidence of higher level thinking. Content may be mature, sophisticated, and challenging. Vocabulary studies, literature studies, as well as a variety of writing techniques will take place throughout the year.

Myths and Legends
This one semester course is designed to guide students through many different facets of the study of mythology with a cross-cultural analysis of different cultural myths, legends, folk tales, and fairy tales.
