Welcome to my Physics website. Physics is the very basic science which deals with matter and energy and how they interact [affect each other] to explain how the physical universe works; from stars to images appearing in your car mirror. A basic understanding of Physics permits individuals to comprehend and understand, on a very basic level, everything we observe about us and/or experience, within a framework of fundamental principles. It also provides good insight into how everyday technology, such as cell phones, GPS systems, or microwave ovens actually function and work. Finally, it furnishes a strong foundation for continued study of higher-level science courses, which reflect and incorporate basic physics ideas and notions.

Course which helps prepare students for the AP Exam and future college-level Physics electives and/or requirements. Students may also obtain possible acquisition of college credit based on examination score. Because of the timeline imposed by the scheduled test date, the course will necessarily be fast-paced - with content material to be concluded by the end of April. This would provide for sufficient review time in early May. A 20-hour additional support/preparation module will be offered by the district and myself, for which all AP scholars are REQUIRED to attend if they wish to maintain their AP status. Time slots amenable to all will be discussed in class and agreed to. In addition, a mid-term and final exam will be given, properly reflecting the course material at a comprable level of difficulty.

This is an upper-level, introductory Physics class intended primarily for juniors and seniors who wish to obtain a firm, conceptual understanding of the physical world around them, as well as develop some quantitative skills using simple mathematics to model and analyze different types of phenomena. Some interesting projects will be assigned to give students an opportunity to explore the many links between Physics and the real world which surrounds them on a daily basis.
Hopefully, students will develop a more subtle understanding of the physical world and be better prepared as future college students and citizens to apply their more refined scientific thinking and intuition.

This is an upper-level, introductory Physics class intended primarily for juniors and seniors who aspire to a more rigorous, challenging experience. Though still conceptually based in structure, the course will utilize a slightly elevated use of mathematical modeling and analysis. Parts of the course are at college level - and would thus constitute an excellent preparation for individuals contemplating a career in science or engineering. Some interesting projects will be assigned to give students an opportunity to explore the many links between Physics and the real world which surrounds them on a daily basis.If students seriously apply themselves, and supplement with private study, they would possess sufficient preparation to attempt the AP Exam if they so desired.
