Parents As Teachers: A program that works!
As a parent, you are your child's first and most important teacher. Parents As Teachers (PAT) is a free program offered through the school district that provides developmental information, education, and support to families that begin prenatally and extends to Kindergarten entrance.

Just in! Say NO to Parents as Teachers Budget Cuts!
Missouri Governor Jay Nixon proposed a $4.1 million budget cut as part of his budget plan for the upcoming fiscal year. It is critical that our Governor hear from Parents as Teachers supporters that this cut is a mistake and he should restore the funding immediately.

Toll-free number that connects directly with the Governor's office. This special number will only be available for Parents as Teachers advocates until Wednesday, February 3.
Due to the large volume of calls, the Governor's office has set up a special voice mail box for Parents as Teachers advocates. Please take the time to leave a message for the Governor. Keep your message short and to the point:
- Identify yourself and where your live
- Inform the Governor that you are dissappointed by his decision to cut Parents as Teachers funding by $4.1 million and that you hope he will restore the funding

***KINDERGARTEN***
If your child will be attending Kindergarten for the 2010-2011 school year(5 years old on or before July 31, 2010), call our office today to set up a prekindergarten visit for January or February AND preregister for kindergarten screening!
***PRESCHOOL***
If your child will be attending Kindergarten for the 2011-2012 school year(4 years old on or before July 31, 2010), call our office today to have your child screened and put on our preschool list.

This is a program for those parents that are 19 or younger on May 1, 2009. If you are enrolled in high school, talk with your counselor about enrolling in a PAT credit class!
Special teen meetings are held every other Thursday, during the Seminar block.
If you need to schedule a visit with your parent educator or need to enroll, call the PAT office (359-7012).
