This course identifies and examines major health issues providing accurate information to
make decisions affecting personal, social and environmental health. This course also contains a unit on human sexuality and HIV/AIDS. This abstinence-based unit is based upon a tradition of moral and value principles. A limited discussion of contraceptives will stress contraceptive ineffectiveness. Student questions dealing with sensitive issues will be referred back to the parent.
Health P2

This abstinence-based unit will teach the exploration of values, recognizing the diversity of beliefs and values to be expected and respected. Contraception will be presented, but not demonstrated following the Marriage, Family, and Parenthood section. |
