This course is for students enrolled in Ms. McNeal's 4th and 6th period.
In addition to learning correct data input techniques using Microtype 4 software, students will learn basic workstation components, describe and demonstrate use of file management, analyze the functions and use applications in the Microsoft Office Suite operating system the basics of Microsoft Office Suite.
Students will use Internet and multimedia applications to research careers and the basics of financial management.
Students will learn how to read an earnings statement, calculate taxes, net salary, and frequency of pay, write checks and balance a check register. Students will also learn about the stock market.
Students will be able to describe the benefits of technology in our society and describe ethical considerations resulting from technological advances.

Students will use Internet and multimedia applications to research careers and the basics of financial management. Students will be able to describe the benefits of technology in our society and describe ethical considerations resulting from technological advances.
