1) AP English IV
In Advanced Placement English classes, students are expected to be capable of working independently, reading widely, and communicating clearly on both oral and written assignments. The basics of grammar and fundamental English skills are considered review material; each student should focus on personal areas needing improvement, rather than a comprehensive class review of the grammar text. Class activities center around the literature text and outside reading, analytic composition, individual and group oral presentations accompanied by visual aids, and AP English Literature & Composition test preparation. A weekly meeting welcoming chess player abilities of all levels. If you have never played, you will be paired with a student-mentor, and you will be playing in no time at all. Whether you are interested in school tournaments, Nashville tournament competitions, or just playing a challenging game with an acquaintance, we can help you attain your chess goals.
