Information Technology is designed to teach the operation of application software through "hands-on" activities. The emphasis will be on exposure to word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), database management (Microsoft Access), and presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint). Two projects will be selected that will involve integrated use of information as it is learned throughout the course to utilize the concepts of computing, problem solving and creativity. One project will be presented to the class and the second will be submitted on a student-provided CD.
