Creative Writing
Creative writing is a year long course that focuses on producing original creative works in the following genres: non-fiction, poetry, fiction (short-stories),
film, & non-conventional formats.
Honors English I
Honors English I is a year long course combining the study of literature, writing, mechanics, speaking and research. The course content will review basic skills previously taught and teach new skills with opportunity for application of skills whenever possible.

The course will include units on literature, a variety of types of writing, research, preparation and presentation of speeches, instruction in and application of mechanics and vocabulary development.

This course is intended to be the bridge from middle school language arts to high school English.
