Does it surprise you to know that 50% of English comes from French? As we study together, you can begin to develop real-world communication skills in French and understand more about your own language, too. French is spoken in 55 countries in the world, and it is the fourth most frequently spoken language. We offer four years of French at Blackman High, and you are strongly encouraged to take three years of a single foreign language to be prepared for college.

Le club français meets once a month to explore topics related to our class work, enjoy food from Francophone countries, and learn leadership and service skills as we participate in school-wide events.
