The 8th Grade English course is designed to help students become skilled readers in a variety of literary genres, and to become proficient writers who can compose for a multitude of audiences and purposes. Students in this course will explore fiction and non-fiction texts, short stories, poetry, and drama.

The 8th Grade Reading Group is designed to expose students to a variety of literary genres including: young adult fiction, fantasy and adventure fiction, science-fiction, and allegorical fiction. Students will read and analyze a variety of fiction genres using literary devices and techniques. Students will also discuss these texts through Socratic Seminars.

The 9th Grade Art History Research course provides students with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and deepen their understanding of a variety of artists and styles.

The Library Curriculum at Aaron provides students with the skills, resources, and tools to enhance their information literacy.  Information literacy is a pathway to lifelong learning; it develops the abilities needed for understanding, learning, thinking, and mastering subjects. Multiple literacies, including digital, textual, and technological are crucial 21st Century Information Literacy Skills. The School Library Media Center provides students with access to a variety of print and online resources, as well as, the technological tools required for learning. The Library Media Specialist collaborates with teachers to provide instruction to enhance 21st Century Information Literacy Skills within the context of the academic curriculum. The Library Curriculum benchmarks for student learning were designed utilizing the AASL Standards for the 21st Century Learner.
