WELCOME TO W.H. ADAMSON THEATRE ARTS!
This year at Adamson is going to be an exciting one. Take a look at our season of shows we are planning and think about coming out for auditions! You will also have many opportunities throughout the year to see professional theatre in Dallas and work behind the scenes on school productions and DISD events. The first meeting for Drama Club is Aug. 27 4p.m.!

Technical Theatre (I-II)
This both an introduction to technical theatre, lighting, sound, production and set design and continuing studies course for selected advanced students in projects relating to theatre design. Students are required to complete at least 10 hours each semester acting as part of the technical crew for school productions and events.

Theatre Arts I
This is an introductory course, which includes acting, directing, stage management, playwriting and an introduction to theatre history. Students are required to act in one or more class projects for public performance during the school year.

Theatre II
This is a course for selected students who have completed one year of Theatre Arts. Students will learn advanced acting techniques, introduction to student directing and playwriting. Students are required to perform in as many as two-three student productions throughout the year and compete in DISD theatre events on weekends and after school. Theatre III-IV
This is a course for selected students who have completed two to three years of Theatre Arts. Students will learn advanced acting techniques, student directing, playwriting and audition techniques for college entrance. Students are required to perform in as many as four student productions throughout the year and compete in DISD theatre events on weekends and after school.
