Assistive Technology!

Assistive technology is technology used by individuals with disabilities in order to perform functions that might otherwise be difficult or impossible.

Accessable input devices for computers will allow adjustments to be made in the height and position of the chair and computer in order to accomidate the learner. Wrist rests and arm supports can be used to ensure correct posture.

Visually impared students can benefit from screen reader. Screen reader is a software application that attempts to identify and interpret what is being displayed on the screen. The information is then presented to the learner using text to speech. This produces an artificial human voice to read the text to the learner.
