| Research through Search Engines |
We are starting this year 2009-2010 off running so I hope you have your running shoes on! This semester we will start with search engines. There are many different ones out there with the most popular ones being Google and Yahoo, but we are going to explore many others. I will introduce you to the Invisible Web, a group of search engines that find information not available on general search engines.
This will prepare you for the many different topics that you will have to research this year. When you understand how to search for information for your research papers, you will make the process smooth and efficient. We will also explore the basic usages for Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. Get ready for an interesting year. I hope you are ready because I am. Good luck Dragons!
