BIENVENIDOS A LA CLASE DE ESPAÑOL! Profesor Crosby 998-5410 X414 (School tel.) scrosby@rsu16.org D-path Spanish is a year long course that meets for eighty minutes, every other day. This course builds upon previous years to enable students develop oral and written proficiency in the language. Based on the premise that languages are "acquired"and not "learned", languages at Poland Regional High School will be taught using the TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) method of teaching a World Language. Through this method, students will acquire a second language in the same manner that they gained their first: through repetitive, comprehensible input. In other words, through listening to the second language over and over in familiar contexts, students will acquire the ability to speak, understand and write the second language. 1 World Language Credit
