| A.E.S. Art Classes |
Welcome to ART! Students in first and second grade have art bi-weekly for a 50 minute class period. Lessons prepared are based on the National and State Visual Arts Standards. The curriculum is based on the Elements and Principals of design. Students learn how to see and talk about art and are exposed to a variety of tools, techniques, and media for producing artwork. Creativity is encouraged! Discipline-Based Art Education is central in the development of art lessons. These components are Art History, Aesthetics, Art Criticism, and Art Production. Be sure to check out the Louvre to see some exciting art!
