Welcome to my 6th grade home page for my homeroom and my 5 language arts classes.
On this website, you will be given important reminders, updated on important events and tests, projects and even provided with classroom instruction and handouts.
If you do experience problems completing an assignment on line, remember you need to have a written and signed note on paper or in your planner from an adult. You will be given an extra day to makeup the work.
Students have been encouraged to get at least one "Study Buddy's" name and contact information from each class and record this in the back of the planner so you can review directions if you are unsure what to do.
The TCMS media center is also available before and after school.

We have reached the end of Prince Jen's journey and are now preparing our final responses on the Graphic Organizers which we began in January.Students are also working on a project which will identify 20 important places and events that took place in the novel and help Prince Jen learn one of his valuable lessons in his life.Finally, after a discussion in class on Friday, Feb. 26, students should be able to identify at least two important lessons which they think Prince Jen learned while on his quest and support these two lessons with examples & details from the novel. They will use this information to make a Pre-writing Webline for an expository essay. The webline is due Thursday, March 4, and the Essay will be written in class on Friday, March 5 for a test grade. (See details below).Vocabulary Quiz for Lesson 15 postponed until later date.
Finally, The FCAT math and reading test will be given on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 9 & 10. Makeup dates are the 11th & 12. PLEASE, impress upon your child to do their best. FCAT 3 or higher is where they want to be to avoid after school tutoring for 7th grade.
