6th Grade "Wheel" Computer Technology

Description
For the academic year 2014-2015 "Wheel" Computer Technology is nine (9) weeks in the EVMS Room 113B computer lab. Currently, 4th Period and 7th Period are up & running for 2014-2015. Every class opens with twenty (20) minutes of keyboarding work with TypingTime software. The remainder of the class time is used for basic work with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome.
Keyboarding
The 6th grade goal for our weekly two minute timing is 25 GWAM (gross words per minute = total words minus errors). Requirements: 1) use the plastic hood 100% of the time; 2) use Home Row; 3) use your time wisely (refrain from TalkingTime and/or ToiletTime). Each Wednesday the PowerSchool assignment (GWAM Timing) is refreshed. Make sure you have your BEST effort on Week Nine. We ask all students to "Get Better."
