We began our "Under the Sea" study this week and the class is really excited. This is our second Research Project, which will be much easier now that we have already done one. Instead of writing a 6 page paper, we are working on an outline which will be the foundation for the "Brochure" style project that we will be working on in the Computer Lab.At the end of the research, the students will make an "Under the Sea" DIORAMA to display their researched creature. I will be sending home a paper next week to let you know the size of the box that your child will need, plus any 'items' needed for the dioramas.
Right now, it looks like our "Beach Party" will be on Tuesday, June 10th.(our last full day of school in June.) It will be the day after our class trip to the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, (June 9th) so mark your calendars.(More details will follow at a later time.)
I am sending the permission slips home today for the trip to the aquarium on June 9th. The cost of the trip will be $14.50 for both the students and any chaperones who will be riding the bus. I will send a more detailed letter home this week re the trip.
We are now ready to start working on the Under the Sea Diorama. Hopefully, everyone will have a box and we can get started.
